Are you working with clients that have plateaued in their progress? Have you hit a “wall” in furthering their wellness? This class is designed with those precious long-term MT/receiver relationships in mind, where there is a wellspring of trust and respect. We will examine several all-too-common stress patterns that persist for a number of reasons, often to do with how the client is (or isn’t) moving her body outside the therapy room, or where the MT can tweak her specificity of technique to get just a bit more out of each stroke. Some of the muscles we will cover are:
- Levator scapulae
- Subscapularis/serratus anterior (specifically, creating space)
- The piriformis/gluteus medius (a common “partnership in crime”)
Other areas of the body will very likely be covered, so please bring your questions and your personal experiences! Kindly be prepared to work on specific areas, including the gluteals.
