For years the myth prevailed that massage would spread cancer. Now come learn the latest information regarding massage and treatment of people with cancer, and discover how to join the ranks of massage therapists who can bring relief to people living with this condition.

This 6-hour course will offer:

  • Basic information about cancer; how it grows and spreads
  • Effects of cancer on the body
  • Effects of various cancer treatments on the body
  • The positive effects of massage for people with cancer
  • The importance of formal training for working safely with people who have cancer
  • Gentle massage techniques

What to bring to class:

Bring basic Swedish massage supplies for this class—sheets, blanket, face cradle cover, bolster, etc.



Madeline Brock, LMT, MTI, CLT, has been in massage practice since 1999, and has been a Massage Therapy Instructor since 2002. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS). Her training also includes Myofascial Release, Structural Integration, Repetitive Use Injury Therapy, Geriatric Massage, Pregnancy and Infant Massage, and Oncology Massage.
